Solar mounting structure for commercial and industrial roofs – Triangular system for metal roofs
Photovoltaic mounting system for commercial and industrial metal roofs. Designed for factories, warehouses and commercial buildings with an optimised triangular structure that reduces the weight on the roof. Tilt angle from 10° to 30°, compatible with landscape and portrait layouts. Certified to international standards.
Overview
Bexie Energy’s solar mounting structure for commercial roofs is a photovoltaic mounting system specifically designed for installations on metal roofs of factories, industrial buildings, logistics warehouses and commercial properties. Its optimised triangular system minimises the weight on the existing structure and allows fast installation with no roof penetration.
Thanks to a careful selection of corrosion-resistant materials and an efficient structural design, this solution delivers maximum profitability per m² of available roof, with adjustable tilt angles from 10° to 30° to optimise solar output according to the orientation of the building.

Advantages of the triangular system for metal roofs
The triangular system is specifically designed for flat or slightly pitched metal roofs, fixing directly onto the metal sheet without needing to penetrate the waterproofing layer:
- No roof penetration — preserves the waterproofing
- Minimal additional weight on the building structure
- Adjustable angle from 10° to 30° to optimise output
- Fast installation with no civil works
- Compatible with any type of metal sheet profile
- Low maintenance thanks to corrosion-resistant materials

Materials and durability in industrial environments
The structure combines anodised AL6005-T6 aluminium for the main profiles with Q235B/Q355B structural steel with Zn-Al-Mg coating for the anchor and support elements. This coating offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than standard galvanisation — especially important in industrial environments with the presence of fumes, humidity or atmospheric pollutants.
The stainless steel fasteners guarantee the integrity of every joint throughout the entire lifespan of the installation, with no need for frequent inspections.
Optimal orientation and tilt for commercial roofs
On industrial buildings with double-pitched roofs, south orientation with a tilt angle of between 15° and 25° usually offers the best balance between annual output and wind load on the structure. The system allows the angle to be adjusted on site during installation to adapt to the specific conditions of each roof and geographical location.
Integration with the complete industrial PV system
This structure can be combined with our high-efficiency TopCon solar panels, industrial hybrid inverters and storage systems for a complete industrial self-consumption installation. Take a look at our self-consumption solution for businesses for a tailor-made integral design.
Frequently asked questions about solar mounting structures for commercial roofs
Is it necessary to reinforce the building’s structure to install solar panels?
In most modern industrial buildings it isn’t necessary, as the triangular system is designed to minimise the additional weight. However, we always recommend a prior structural assessment to confirm the load-bearing capacity of the roof. Our technical team can advise you throughout this process.
Can it be installed on any type of metal roof?
Yes, the system is compatible with the main types of metal sheet profile: trapezoidal, corrugated and sandwich. The fixing adapts to the type of profile to guarantee safety without penetrating the waterproofing layer.
What’s the best tilt angle for an industrial building?
To maximise annual output in southern Europe, the optimal angle is 30-35°. However, on industrial roofs where wind can be a limiting factor, angles of 10-15° significantly reduce the loads on the structure and remain highly productive.
How many panels fit on a typical industrial roof?
A 1,000 m² building can host between 300 and 400 panels of 535W, generating an installed capacity of between 160 and 215 kWp. This represents annual savings of between 160,000 and 215,000 kWh. Request a free assessment for your specific installation.
Do I need a building permit to install panels on the roof of my industrial building?
In most cases, self-consumption installations on existing roofs don’t require a building permit, although prior notification to the local authority and the legalisation of the electrical installation are required. Our team handles all administrative procedures.
